چکیده
Abstract Although AI systems which support composition using predictive text are well established there no analogous technologies for mechanical design. Motivated by the vision of a system that interactively suggests features to designer, this paper describes theory, implementation and assessment an intelligent learns from family previous designs generates inferences form spatial statistics. The formalism presented, models 3D design activity as ‘Marked Point Process’ enables probability specific being added at particular locations be calculated. Because resulting probabilities updated every time new feature is predictions will become more accurate develops. This approach allows cursor position on CAD model implicitly define focus query made statistical model. authors describe mathematics underlying amalgamates frequency occurrence in existing product family. Having theoretical foundations work, generic six step process described. then illustrated circular hole generated dataset hydraulic valves. how positions each design's extracted can homogenized through rotation scaling. Results suggest within part families (i.e. with common structure) marked point effective predicting incremental steps development designs.

Facade Interpretation Using a Marked Point Process
Our objective is the interpretation of facade images in a top-down manner, using a Markov marked point process formulated as a Gibbs process. Given single rectified facade images, we aim at the accurate detection of relevant facade objects as windows and entrances, using prior knowledge about their possible configurations within facade images. We represent facade objects by a simplified rectang...
متن کاملA Marked Point Process Perspective in Fitting Spatial Point Process Models
This paper discusses a new perspective in fitting spatial point process models. Specifically the spatial point process of interest is treated as a marked point process where at each observed event x a stochastic process M(x; t), 0 < t < r, is defined. Each mark process M(x; t) is compared with its expected value, say F (t; θ), to produce a discrepancy measure at x, where θ is a set of unknown p...
متن کاملSurvival Analysis on Pedigrees : a Marked Point Process Model
Regulation of insurers’ use of genetic information means actuaries are interested in age-at-onset of genetic disorders. Arjas & Haara (1984) suggested marked point processes (MPPs) as useful models for life history data with complex covariates. Age-at-onset distributions (or equivalently, hazard rates) in respect of inherited disorders are often estimated from pedigrees, which are life historie...
متن کاملA stochastic marked point process model for earthquakes
A simplified stochastic model for earthquake occurrence focusing on the spatio-temporal interactions between earthquakes is presented. The model is a marked point process model in which each earthquake is represented by its magnitude and coordinates in space and time. The model incorporates the occurrence of aftershocks as well as the buildup and subsequent release of strain. The parameters of ...
متن کاملA Marked Point Process Framework for Extracellular Electrical Potentials
Neuromodulations are an important component of extracellular electrical potentials (EEP), such as the Electroencephalogram (EEG), Electrocorticogram (ECoG) and Local Field Potentials (LFP). This spatially temporal organized multi-frequency transient (phasic) activity reflects the multiscale spatiotemporal synchronization of neuronal populations in response to external stimuli or internal physio...
